Amsterdam

I finally did it. I’ve seen so many watercolor paintings of buildings, city skylines, watercolor paint splatters, that I decided to make something of my own.

Recently I came across a cool image of some street in Amsterdam. I took couple of random buildings out of it and began experimenting with watercolor. I’ve seen people do this kind of painting often, so this is in no way, shape, or form my original idea. This was also my first time making watercolors run down the page. I noticed that watercolor paint doesn’t quiet run straight down for some reason, so I traced the line with a wet brush, and then the paint ran down the path I traced. Kind of weird, I’m not sure that’s how you do it, but it worked for me.

I am not too excited how the paint bled, but it’ll do for now. I’ll just have to practice more.
